Influenced from African and European styles, Salsa is a dance that involves the whole body to present the overall feeling of passion and spice. You’ll be sure to get a kick out of its catchy rhythms and energetic moves. |
Ballroom
Originally developed in England during the sixteenth century, modern ballroom dancing is enjoyed both competitively and recreationally. The students will learn to dance with a partner and have respect for each others space. Kids now have the opportunity to learn this elegant and challenging style once reserved for the privileged only. Having changed only slightly through the centuries, Ballroom is a great way to enrich and expand the student’s cultural palette. |
Hip Hop
Coming from the streets of New York, this style gained momentum in the seventies, involving the pop and locks style as well as break dance. Since its introduction, hip-hop has seen a large gathering, now enjoyed as a performance art as well as a competitive one. Get pumped up and enjoy some funky beats as you learn from our instructors who have some slick moves of their own! |
Breakdance
All you b-boys and b-girls out there get ready to bust a groove as you learn the moves in this intense dance form. From popping and locking to karate kicks, break dancing involves heavy use of the upper body, requiring skill and momentum to complete all of the top and down rocks, as well as plenty of athletic skill to finish things off with power and intensity. |
Aerial Dance
Allowing students to explore dance in three dimensions, aerial dance involves the use of aerial apparatus’s to suspend one in the air, making it possible to explore movement in every direction. Float in the air as you express the body as never before! |
Ballet Jazz
Ballet is the name given to a specific dance form and technique. Works of dance choreographed using this technique are called ballets, and may include - dance, mime, acting and music (orchestral and sung). Ballets can be performed alone or as part of an opera. Ballet is best known for its virtuoso techniques such as Pointe work, grand pas de deux and high leg extensions. Our Ballet classes are taught by Ruby Karen, World Champion acrogymnast and Aerial Arts master.

Lyrical
A fusion of the ballet and jazz dance styles, Lyrical Dance aims to interpret the accompanying music in an emotionally expressive way. The dancers’ movements attempt to illustrate the actual meaning and emotion communicated in the song. Lyrical dance has grown increasingly popular in the last few decades. Though the dance first began as an expression of jazz music, it is commonly danced to music of any style, including hip-hop, rock, swing, pop, or classical. There are no definitive unique movements in Lyrical Dance, though an emphasis on continued movement is part of the dance style. |
R & B
Students will learn the styles popularized in the late 40’s and 50’s, emphasis on rhythm and jazz. With lots of nimble toe work involved, students will learn how to dance with soul and passion.
